"Djangobilly: gypsybilly Vol. 8"
“I love ‘Parc de Verdure’, it has a nice gallop to it; ‘Cruisin’ for a Bluesin’ is crazy good too. Hell, the whole album is great. Thanks for the energetic playing!!”
Redd Volkaert, Guitarist
“The new record by The Vignatis is truly awesome! It’s an invigorating and fun album with amazing musicianship!”
Johnny Hiland, Guitarist

Gypsbilly has yet again, taken a road less traveled. It was only a matter of time before The Vignatis would take their alt. roots/Americana, neo-swing, European mélange genre to a 10 track musical script while instruments sing melodies, front and center, and vocals tacet.
Djangobilly: Gypsybilly Vol. 8 marks their eighth volume of work exhibiting their fresh-perspective spin on some Django Reinhardt classics as well as their own compositions. It is a unique musical journey showcasing the innovation of their own genre creation. The contributions of the legendary French musical guests Samson Schmitt, Pierre Blanchard, and Ludovic Beier add dynamic authenticity making this album an unprecedented work of art.

“Wow, I’ve never heard Django Reinhardt’s music performed in that way before! Very original.”
Carl Verheyen, Guitarist
“The sound is virile and big, and the effect is rollicking and rowdy… Intensely lyrical chromatic elements and neo-nostalgia with sweet, swooping melodic passages to offset the driving beat.”
folkworks
“By merging instead of segregating, music from different places, they have defined their own genre. It’s a joyful and hopeful fusion of cultures which says more than words alone ever can.”
American Songwriter
“Tracy and Fabrice have something unique on their hands: true, impeccable talent and the ability to carve a niche in a genre that may be entirely their own.”
